The Speedway Sedans Queensland South West All Stars Modified Sedan Series presented by Cush Clothing is set to explode back to life this season.
After an an absence of a number of years, the 7 round series will visit 5 different tracks kicking off in Gympie on 1 October.
Although these series dates have been on all track calendars and the state websites for a number of months, here’s all the series dates in one easy place for you all.
R1 – 1 October (Gympie)
R2 – 15 October (Kingaroy)
R3 – 5 November (Gympie)
R4 – 19 November (Lismore)
R5 – 17 December (Kingaroy)
R6 – 11 February (Roma) – double points
R7 – 13 May (Maryborough)
It should be noted that there was a second round scheduled at Maryborough, but after the Queensland Title at Rocky was announced, Maryborough kindly gave up there round which would of been a week before the title. This will allow as many drivers as possible to head north to support the historic event being held in the beef capital in February.
Roma’s event will be a double points round, guaranteed. There will be 2 additional double points rounds during the series. The double points random draw will take place at every drivers briefing to determine if that round is double points or not.
The series will pay out $15,000 in prize money on top of an impressive nightly prize purse. Through the support of the major sponsor Speedway Sedans Queensland they will supply trophies for the end of series winners and for all the podiums place getters at each round.
4 x $250 lucky dog draws (randomly drawn at the end of the series for drivers outside the top ten)
Total Series Purse – $15,000
NIGHTLY PRIZE MONEY
$100 to everyone else that starts the night.
The prize money for the series and every round will be paid out by Speedway Sedans Queensland to ensure consistency and transparency.
There is no control tyre rule at this series meaning you can run any tire that meets the current Modified Sedan specifications. The format will be 3 heats culminating with a 30 lap feature at each round.
Every round will be live streamed by Clay Per View which is an exciting initiative this season.
Supplementary Regulations for the entire season will be available on the Speedway Sedans Queensland website during August.
Drivers will be able to nominate for each round on the Speedway Sedans Queensland website where during the season drivers will be able to see the updated points at any stage.
This is an exciting time for Modified Sedans. This series will be a great edition to a number of big events already scheduled in Queensland this season including the Kings Royal, T-Bar Nationals plus the Queensland Title Rocky and the Toowoomba Smackdown Series.
Massive thanks to the following sponsors for making this possible:
