Queenslanders Achieving at National Levels

Last weekend Speedway Australia hosted their annual Forum and Awards Presentation weekend, this year held in Adelaide at the Adelaide Convention Centre.  There were good numbers who attended the Forum on Saturday and the Safety Conference on Sunday.  Saturday night was gala awards night also held at the Adelaide Convention Centre which was time to celebrate.

Speedway Sedans Australia drivers, officials, tracks and personnel did very well at the awards –

Volunteer/Official of the Year – Allan Jennings – SSA National Steward, SSA Officials Trainer, SSQ Board Member to SSA, SSQ State Steward, SSQ State President, Gympie Speedway President, CTAC representative for Production Sedans.

Innovation of the Year – Speedway Sedans Australia’s Electronic Scrutineering Program written and developed by Sarah and Pam Franz

Promotional Item of the Year – Speedway Sedans Live – Ash Media, Jarred Ash and Jason Crowe

Senior Sedan Driver of the Year – Matty Pascoe – currently holds National and Qld State Titles in Super Sedans – 3 of last 4 Qld titles have been won by Matty and Matty has now won 3 National Super Sedan titles

Youth Driver of the Year – Ardie Jonic – back to back National Junior Sedan title winner (Darwin and Maryborough) and currently holds Qld, SA and TAS Junior state titles – has won many titles over his Junior career which has now concluded due to age.

Track of the Year – Kingaroy Speedway – culminating in the running of the 2019 SSA Modified Sedan National Title last April – Kingaroy Speedway are now multi-award winners.

Most Improved Track of the Year – Pioneer Park Ayr – a massive amount of work went into bringing this track back to life in the past two years and they have successfully completed their first season back.

Congratulations to everyone in Queensland who are part of the Speedway Sedans Australia journey.
