Fundraiser for Jye O’Brien

FUNDRAISER FOR JYE O’BRIEN and Family by Speedway Sedans Queensland – QSCA Inc on behalf of those who wish to donate.
On Tuesday 29th April life changed for Jye O’Brien in an instant, whilst going about his normal work activities Jye suffered burns to 50% of his body and a broken arm. He is in a serious but stable condition in an induced coma and is undergoing lengthy surgery at present. His recovery time may be lengthy and span over months.
The cause was of the explosion was an empty sealed Methanol Drum that he was moving. Investigations report that the explosion was caused by Static Electricity.
Jye is well known in many and varied areas of motorsport including Speedway. Jye is a competitor when time allows and also he is a registered engine sealer with our organisation. Jye is the sole proprietor of The Performance Centre at Lawnton where he builds engines for Super Sedans, Modified Sedans and Production Sedans. Some of his notable customers being Steve Jordan, Sean Black, Mark O’Brien and Robert White and many more. Speaking with Steve Jordan today – Steve described Jye as a gentleman and great family man. Jye’s son is currently beginning a motorsport career in a Go Kart.
The weeks and months ahead will be difficult for Jye and his family to get through and Speedway Sedans Queensland (QSCA Inc) would like to facilitate a fundraising project for those who would like to contribute. Speedway Sedans Queensland will contribute $500 to get this fundraising project off the ground.
