Huge Two Nights at Maryborough

The weather gods willing there will be two huge nights of speedway action at the very popular Maryborough Speedway, Friday and Saturday nights.  All eyes will be skyward during the day as everyone looks forward to a great way to start 2010.

Friday and Saturday nights – 50 Modified Productions will line up tonight for Round 2 of the Masondale Heavy Haulage Fraser Coast Modified Pr0duction Series – cars from Cairns to Grafton in NSW are nominated to compete tonight.

Friday Only – 28 Super Sedans will take the green flag in what will be an awesome sight of  V8 competition.  The fast Maryborough track will allow them to perform to their best.  Some drivers will be fresh from Rounds 2 and 3 of the National Super Sedan Series at Gympie and Toowoomba so will be keen to do well again tonight.

Saturday Only – Good fields of Street Sedans, Junior Street Sedans and Nostalgia Sedans will provide lots of excitement as support to the Modified Productions.

Add to all this sedan action over both nights there is nearly 30 Midget Speedcars taking part in a round of their National Series which is running at venues in all States.  Well known notable entrants from the sedan ranks are Sid Whittaker and Troy Ware who have both moved into the open wheel section for a different type of racing experience.

Racing starts at 4.30pm on Friday and 5pm on Saturday – if you are keen on speedway Maryborough Speedway is the place to be this weekend.
