Street Sedans 2007/08

19/08/07…Pam Franz

In an attempt to clear up some misunderstandings from the proposed alterations to the format of Street Sedan racing in the 2007/08 season – below is a quotation from the Minutes of the last Council meeting held on 4/5th August 2007 where this subject was raised by promoting Clubs.

“A lengthy and robust discussion was then held on the direction of Street and Super
Street classes.
Promoting clubs felt that the QSCA Inc should not attempt to tell them what classes they
can programme on any race night.
As this topic was becoming an emotive one President Paul Gannon assured promoting
clubs that the QSCA Inc certainly had no intent of forcing clubs to programme any
particular classes.
2 Promoting clubs advised that for this season they fully intended to trial running
Division 1 & Division 2 Street Sedans together and sought assurance that there would
be no interference from the QSCA Inc.
President Paul Gannon once again advised clubs that the QSCA Inc could not and
would not be involved in telling any club what they could/should programme and that the
QSCA would watch with interest to see how the trial went.”

This decision has been reached by clubs who promote tracks in an attempt to give their spectators an exciting nights entertainment in return for their support.
