The Cairns Speedway Sedan Club got off to a flying start to the 2008/09 season last Saturday night.  Several new drivers had their first outing and were pleased with their results.  11 Modified Productions took to the track.

Through the night Laurie Sultana suffered from a loose flywheel, Dave Manley had carby problems and Ray Marshall had problems with the distributor.

Shane Mitchell returned to racing after a break and enjoyed a successful night with his new Commodore.  Dave Berryman was ready to head south to take part in the Qld Modified Production Title at Maryborough so was taking it easy.

Track champion Max Bennetts enjoyed a successful night with 2 heat wins and a win in the Final.  Ex Super Street Sedan driver Graham Kleinhans having his first run was successful in winning a heat and finishing 2nd in the Final behind Max Bennetts.

The next meeting at Cairns International Speedway will be on 14th June.
