NSSS Schedule Expanded

National Super Sedan Series Schedule Expanded…06/07/07….NASR/ASCF Media Release

The 2007/08 National Super Sedan Series schedule has been expanded to include a round at Western Speedway, Hamilton, bringing the total number of rounds to eight.

The burgeoning series begins at Rockhampton in central Queensland just after Christmas (December 27) and makes appearances in Brisbane (December 29) and Toowoomba (December 31) before heading south to Victoria and South Australia for two consecutive double headers.

The series reaches Mildura – the home of the 2007 Australian Super Sedan Championship – on January 4, followed by Geelong’s Avalon Raceway the following night (January 5).  Another hectic weekend of racing will follow at Hamilton (January 11) and Mount Gambier’s Borderline Speedway (January 12).

The series will conclude at Murray Bridge Speedway on January 19, followed by the entertaining and always emotional back tie presentation dinner in Adelaide on January 20.

The Hamilton event fits perfectly into the series schedule with a natural geographical progression from Geelong through Hamilton and on to Mount Gambier and Murray Bridge.

The 446 metre Hamilton circuit was once a Super Sedan stronghold and the track operators are keen to see top level sedan racing flourish at the venue once again. The speedway is located 3 kilometres from Hamilton on North Boundary Road.
