Modified Production Aussie Opens Gets Bigger

The “Wholesale, Trade & Security” Modified Production Australian Open is already going to be big, but it has just got bigger with the announcement that “Quantum Racing Industries” has also signed on with an innovative idea, for ten lucky drivers to  contest the “Quantum Racing Industries” Piston Cup on night one of the Australian Open.

This race will be held on the first night of the Aussie Open after the first three rounds of heat. This race won’t be for any points or have anything to do with the overall Australian Open, but it will be a stand alone 15 lap race, which ten lucky drivers (who are present at the New Years Eve Party, will win the chance to race in this event to win a Carrillo Rod and CP Piston Package from Quantum Racing Industries valued at $5000.)

For every driver that is at the New Years Eve Party, they will receive a ticket in the draw for the “Quantum Racing Industries” Piston Cup.  Throughout the New Years Eve party, a draw for the Piston Cup will take place.  This draw will be a back to front draw with the first ticket drawn out will start from position 10 in the “Quantum Racing Industries” Piston Cup; the second one drawn out will start from position nine and so on…  There will be other prizes drawn out during the night, but ten lucky drivers will get the chance to race in this stand alone race on Night one of the “Wholesale, Trade & Security Products” Australian Open.  Please remember that this 15 lap race does not count for any points in the Aussie Open.

To be in the draw, you must be in attendance at the New Years Eve Party on the Friday night.  So if forty drivers turn up to the New Years Eve party you will have a 1 in 4 chance of winning a chance to be in this race. 

During the draw a further 10 drivers will be drawn out as reserves (1st Reserve, 2nd reserve and so on) to ensure that 10 drivers will take the green flag in the 15 lap “Quantum Racing Industries” Piston Cup on night one of the “Wholesale, Trade & Security Products” Australian Open.

The “Quantum Racing Industries” Piston Cup will also pay the following bonus prize money:

1st – Set of CP Pistons & Carrillo Rod Package valued at $5000 thanks to Quantum Racing Industries
2nd – $200        3rd – $100        4th to 10th – $80 each

So, with the support of “Wholesale, Trade & Security Products” the winner of the 2011 Australian Open will win a massive $5000 and now thanks to Quantum Racing Industries, one lucky driver will get the chance to win a CP Piston & Carrillo Rod Package valued at $5000.

Below is the prize money schedule for the “Wholesale, Trade & Security Products” Australian Open, which is a 50 lap feature race.

1st – $5000
2nd – $2500
3rd – $1500
4th – $1000
5th – $700
6th – $600
7th – $500
8th – $400
9th – $300
10th to 24th – $200

All cars that don’t qualify for the A Main and start the first heat, will receive $200 each.  This is going to be the biggest and richest Modified Production event in the country so make sure you get to the Maryborough Speedway over the New Years weekend.
