McGee Crowned Queen in Inaugural Queens Royal Event

Maddi McGee has claimed the inaugural Queens Royal at the Ian Boettcher Race Parts Kingaroy Speedway on Saturday night, in an entertaining race which went without a stoppage.
The lead changed hands five times in the race, which would see Jessica OMeara and Sarah Franz share the front row for the twenty lap main event.
Sarah Franz would lead the first lap, only to have OMeara, who won all three of her qualifying heats, take the lead on lap two, only to have Franz reclaim the lead a lap later.
Franz would hold a small lead until lap six, when OMeara hit the lead again, as Franz again went back to second place. Behind the pair, McGee started to make her move, passing Franz on lap nine, before setting out after OMeara.
McGee got the better of the duel for the lead on lap fourteen, with OMeara and Franz close by, while Brooke Ferguson sat in fourth place, throughout the entire journey.
McGee opened a lead on the opposition in the concluding stages, winning the inaugural event. OMeara and Franz fittingly crossed the line in close proximity to complete the top three, with Ferguson, Tiffany OKeeffe and Kayla Stokes completing the top six.
