21/11/14…Pam Franz
This weekend race fans are being treated to Live Timing coverage from 2 great speedway meetings in Qld. At Toowoomba Speedbowl you have the Qld Super Sedan Title – supported by Modified Sedans, Street Stocks and Junior Sedans. Whilst at Maryborough Speedway Round 2 of the J&M Racecraft 4 Cylinder Sedan Super Series will be held with 30 nominations received – supporting this meeting are Production Sedans and the mighty V8 Sprintcars.
Live timing will be available throughout both meetings from start to finish – remember you can download the app to your smartphone – android, iphone, windows etc – or you can log in through your PC, tablet, lap top. www.race-monitor.com is where all the action will be – from 415pm at Maryborough and 430pm at Toowoomba. No reason to miss out on one single lap of the racing from either venue.
Nominations for the Qld Super Sedan Title at Toowoomba Speedbowl read like a who’s who of Super Sedan racing from around Australia – headed by current Aust Champion Kodee Brown who has made the long trip from WA to see if he can add the Qld crown to his long list of achievements, current Qld defending champion Darren Kane will be sure to have other ideas of who will be the new 2014/15 Qld Super Sedan champion, always at the heels is the quiet achiever Mat Pascoe piloting the Brisbane #15 car – Mat has tasted success at the highest level and is determined to regain the Q1 again, Steve Jordan is always fast and knows how to win a major race having won the Australia No 1 in 2011 to add to his string of successes over many years of racing. South Australian champion David Gartner will be trying his best to seperate the Qlders to get a podium finish. The Nicola brothers from Victoria are always hard to beat and with Peter Nicola currently sporting the Vic #1 proudly on his car will be hard chargers on the high banks of the Toowoomba Speedbowl their fellow Victorian Ash Bergmeier always presents a good looking car and will be hard to beat. Brad Smith has made the journey across the water to mix it with the best in Australia as they gather in Toowoomba for this weekends racing.
Meanwhile in Maryborough the 4 Cylinder Sedans will be battling it out for Round 2 of the J&M Racecraft Super Series. With 30 nominations to hand it will be and interesting nights racing. With the point scoring system in place for this Series not awarding points to those who do not finish the heat races it makes it imperative that Drivers preserve their cars to ensure they can finish the race and take the chequered flag. Q1 Tim Weir will be out to make amends for his poor night at Round 1 of the Series at Kingaroy recently.
