Maryborough Sporting Car Club General Manager Ryan Harris, has officially resigned from the club as he embarks on a new chapter of his life, where he will move out of Speedway into the banking sector. Harris has been involved in the Maryborough Speedway for 6 years and close to, two of them as General Manager and is extremely sad to move away from the Maryborough Speedway.
“It was an extremely hard decision to make, but it was too good an opportunity to pass up, as this will really set me up for my future”, Harris explained.
“The club has a really strong executive & leadership team, so it is in extremely good hands. So other then not hearing me on the PA at race meetings, you won’t even know anything is different” Harris said.
Gary Harris & Wayne Moller will co-ordinate and arrange the race meetings, with Kaye Arthur stepping in to handle all the administration work. Paul Redman will take over the roll of marketing & advertising and the rest of the Maryborough Sporting Car Club committee will be working to ensure it is business as usual.
All the planned upcoming events for the remainder of the this & next season will be still going ahead as planned.
“I would like to sincerely thank everyone for everything over the last 6 years as I have really had a great time and received a lot of fantastic support from a lot of amazing people. The friendships that I have made will be cherished for many years to come and I look forward to catching up with everyone around the traps”. Harris said.
Harris’s final show at the Maryborough Speedway will be on Saturday 26th March which will feature the Ullrich Aluminium Queensland Lightning Sprint Title, the final round of the Channel 7 Wide Bay Modified Production Series and the Fusion Graphix Street Sedan Mary 1000.
