Aidan Raymont Takes 3rd Qld Modified Sedan Title

Aidan Raymont has won his third Queensland Modified Sedan Title at the Fraser Shores Maryborough Speedway on Sunday night, leading all the way in an action packed forty lap final.
The record books will show Raymont would lead all the way and Greg Worling would complete the entire distance in second place, with Wayne Gilroy third throughout. Behind that though, there were multiple changes of position, with numerous incidents as a result.
The most significant incident would happen on lap twenty, when an incident involving Brett Barron, Peter Gray and Russell Harris, eliminated all three, with Gray disqualified, as was Harris who remonstrated with Gray on the infield as a result of the incident.
Raymont had to drive a great race, as Worling was right behind him throughout, with only a car length separating the duo after forty laps.
The drama did not end at the chequered flag with Wayne Gilroy who finished third, the third driver to be disqualified, this time at post race scrutineering, elevating Brenton Scott to third, Rodney Pammenter to fourth and Shannon Blackburn to with, with Blackburn coming from the B Main.
Raymonts has previously won the title in 2007 and 2010, and has now won seven state title in his career.
