The “Wild Desert” Modified Production Allstars Series is back bigger and better in 2012/13 and will be held over five gruelling rounds at five different tracks.
The Series will kick off on 27th October at Mothar Mountain Speedway in Gympie and it will be a few years since a series round has visited the Gold City and I know everyone will be eager to get off to a great start on the mountain.
A week later the series will visit Kingaroy Speedway for Round 2 and this event will no doubt be well supported as this doubles as the final hit out on the venue before the Kings Royal on the Australia Day long weekend.
For the first time ever, Roma Speedway will host the third round on 24th November and with the local backing of our major sponsor Wild Desert Oil & Gas Field Services who service Roma and the Surat Basin, this will be a huge event and will no doubt see a capacity crowd turn out to see the mighty Modified Productions back at the venue which has recently undergone a massive amount of improvements and upgrades.
With a busy summer period the Wild Desert Allstars Series has a bit of lay off before heading to Lismore Showgrounds for the fourth round on 9th February. Lismore Speedway has always been a huge supporter of Modified Production racing and once again the local club are chomping at the bit to have another big field of cars at the always exciting Lismore Speedway.
Charlton Speedway in Toowoomba will play host to the final round of the Wild Desert Allstars Series and that will be held on 2nd March, which will be the final hit out anywhere for a lot of competitors before the Australian Title being held in Toowoomba at Easter only a few weeks later.
Wild Desert is an oil and gas well servicing company based in Roma, Queensland, the heard of the Surat Basin and the company was established in 2005 & has since grown to incorporate well serving rights, logistic services,, rig camps and a workshop for the fabrication & Maintenance of all there equipment. Wild Desert is always looking for new employees to head west to the beautiful town of Roma and if anyone is interested in applying for a position with Wild Desert, they can visit there website, www.wilddesert.com.au.
The Series will boost a big payout of “cash” to the top 20 in the series with the winning taking home a big trophy and of course a winners cheque of $2000. Each round will pay $1000 to win but also see increased payout per round paying down to 10th place along with the traditional $100 minimum guarantee from 11th onwards.
